Budget
The biennial budget passed by the Legislature for the current cycle, increased government spending by over 17%. That budget was based on pie-in-the-sky revenue projections which have not been met and have now left us with a $250 million dollar budget hole - a hole that continues to grow larger, putting the state of New Hampshire in debt. As your state representative, I will not support such a budget going forward.

Small Business Supporter
Small business is the backbone of our economy – particularly here in our district that encompasses many of the South Nashua retail establishments. These businesses have prospered because of the absence of a sales tax. I will not support a sales tax, nor will I support an income tax.
During the past two legislative sessions here in New Hampshire, the leaders in Concord proposed and passed more than 35 tax and fee increases. These burdensome taxes include an increase in the meals and rooms tax that went from 8% to 9%, increased automobile registration fees, higher firearm registration fees and even an attempt to pass a tax on milk and another tax on candy! I will not vote to raise taxes and I will be a strong advocate for meaningful spending cuts.
